FCI's AS-FS Series flow switches utilize no moving parts, ultra-reliable thermal dispersion flow measurement technology to detect a flow rate above or below a predetermined set point at the sensing location. They are applied to signal low flow or high flow alarm conditions in air or liquid fluid flows throughout the aircraft. FCI offers two versions, one for air flow and one for liquid flow applications.. They are rugged, all-welded, 316 stainless steel but are compact and lightweight. AS-FS flow switches are directly installed into piping or ducting on commercial and military aircraft, as well as spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications.

The Model AS-LLE is a miniature, single-point level sensor for detecting and alarming on liquid levels in tanks, reservoirs, sumps and gearboxes on commercial and military fixed wing and rotary aircraft. Unlike ordinary level sensor that installed through a tap point in a vessel and protrude both into and out from the vessel, the AS-LLE is designed to be installed within the vessel itself. There are no external penetration points to leak or that require additional external space to accommodate their installation. The AS-LLE can be used with most any liquid, including water, oil, hydraulic fluid, coolants, and more. Its titanium construction ensures it is rugged, lightweight, and corrosion resistance.
FCI Model AS-LLS is a no moving parts, ultra-reliable level switch which detects the presence or absence of liquid or interface at the sensing location. The AS-LLS level switch is directly installed into tanks, reservoirs, sumps and gearboxes on commercial and military aircraft, as well as spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications. The sensor uses FCI proven thermal dispersion technology to rapidly detect and to signal of a too low level or too high level condition in the installation. Unlike mechanical level detection, the AS-LLS will not stick, clog or foul and no routine maintenance is required. It is small, compact and lightweight suitable for a broad range of application throughout the aircraft.
FCI Model AS-MLLS provides multipoint liquid level and interface switches that include a “strip sensor” or a thermowell mounted sensing element with integral or remote electronics that provide indication of presence or absence of liquid or interface at the multiple sensor locations along the length of the element. The multipoint liquid level element is directly installed into tanks, reservoirs, sumps and gearboxes on commercial and military aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications. Optional temperature output and controller function is available.
FCI AS-TE Temperature Element is a compact, light-weight, precision temperature sensor for direct installation into piping and ducting on commercial and military fixed wing or rotary aircraft as well as spacecraft, vehicles and shipboard/marine vessels. These elements utillize high accuracy, highly repeatable RTD sensors (Resistance Temperature Detectors) to provide a linear change in resistance directly proportional to temperature changes in the liquid or gas process. customer. These sensors are packaged in all welded, sealed thermowells for superior service life. AS-TE can be specified with threaded or flanged conections and wiring connectors to match your installation need.
FCI AS-TS Temperature Switch provides temperature switches mounted in thermowells with integral or remote solid state electronics housed in protective enclosures for direct installation into piping and ducting on commercial and military aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications. These switches utilize highly reliable Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) elements that provide a linear change in resistance that is directly proportional to temperature changes in the liquid or gas process. The FCI provided electronics are equipped with up to three separate switch points that are set by FCI at customer specified values to indicate temperature changes in the customer’s process fluid. FCI can also provide thermistor and thermocouple elements with switch electronics for requirements specified by the customer.
FCI AS-TT provides temperature transmitters mounted in thermowells with integral or remote solid state electronics housed in protective hermetically or environmentally sealed enclosures for direct installation into piping and ducting on commercial and military aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications. These transmitters utilize highly reliable Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) elements that provide a linear change in resistance that is directly proportional to temperature changes in the liquid or gas process. The FCI provided electronics are designed to provide up to three separate analog, digital or switch outputs that are calibrated by FCI over customer specified ranges to indicate temperature changes in the customer’s process fluid. The outputs are typically specified as 0 – 5 Vdc, 4 – 20 milliamps or a digital buss that interfaces with customer systems. FCI can provide Built in Test (BIT) or other type of health monitoring options on the output. FCI can also provide thermistor and thermocouple elements with transmitter electronics for requirements specified by the customer.
FCI AS-PS provides pressure switches that include a hermetically sealed sensing element and integral or remote electronics that provide indication of pressure above or below a predetermined threshold at the sensing location. The pressure element is directly installed into pipes, ducts, tanks, reservoirs, sumps and gearboxes on commercial and military aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles and marine applications. It can be specified to indicate absolute, gauge or differential pressure values as required for the customers application
FCI AS-PT Aerospace's pressure transmitters combine to meet the demand for full qualification compliance with the performance and measurement capability necessary to meet a variety of applications on the aircraft. FCI pressure sensors are the constructed using either thin film sputtered deposition strain-gage or variable capacitive ceramic sensing technologies. Strain-gage elements are directly welded to the pressure port and capacitive elements are sealed to the housing via an O-ring. Bothe sensor types achieve a leak-proof design that ensure a robust solution for all pressure applications including hydraulic fluid, fuel, coolants, air and other media types.
