MagSeal has engineered and manufactured the highest quality Magnetic and Spring seals since 1954.  Our Seals are used in Commercial & Military Aerospace, High Performance Automotive, Marine & other Markets such as Windmills.

MagSeal offers Carbon Face Seals in not only Magnetic Seals, but we also offer Spring Energized Seals too called MachSeal.  All Seal products are AS9100 Certified and made in the USA.

SPRING ENERGIZED SEALS – MACHSEAL

  • Holding Forces: Spring energized, utilize crest to crest wave springs which give uniform loading throughout the entire carbon seal face
  • Diameters:  Seals shafts from 1/4″ up to 4″
  • Speeds: up to 17,000 linear ft per minute
  • Temperatures: -65F to 450F

Magnetic Seals

Magnetic Seals

  • Holding Forces: Utilize magnetic attraction forces which includes an air gap to offer significantly longer life than spring energized designs
  • Diameters:  Seals shafts from 1/4″ up to 5″, special designs up to 14″
  • Lengths:  Axial lengths as short as .312″ ideal for retrofit of lip seals
  • Pressures: Reverse pressure from 2 psid to 30 psid; Forward: 500 to 2,000 psid
  • Speeds: up to 17,000 linear ft per minute
  • Temperatures: -65F to 450F

MagSeal – Magnetic Seals

  • Having a highly controlled internal air gap which gives 30 to 60% lower face seal loads than spring seals and provides significantly longer life
  • Low life cycle cost
  • Good in High Vibration Environment
  • Smaller Footprint than other Mechanical Seals, as short as .312″ – great replacement for Lip Seals
  • Counter Rotation
  • Closed Magnetic Circuit results in minor stray flux

MachSeal – Spring Energized Seals

  • Cup and seal case are robust because they are machined rather than stamped or molded
  • Our MachSeal uses a special designed spring, a crest to crest spring design that allows for uniform loading throughout the seal face which eliminates the chance for inconsistent wear on the seal face
  • Anti-Rotation features are integrated within the cup’s machining process rather than welded on
  • Easily disassembled for low cost repair
  • Permits Fluid Circulation
